Wow, things are gonna be big for me in 2017!
First up, on January 3rd, DEFIANT, Volume III of the Lightship Chronicles, will be released in hardback by DAW Books/Random House. This volume will complete my first trilogy and I'm looking forward to seeing this one on the shelves! I think it wraps up the series nicely and leaves us many opportunities going forward.
The same day the Mass Market Paperback of STARBOUND (Vol. II) will be out. With a list price of just $7.99, this is a great opportunity to catch up on the series for you bargain hunters!
But that's not the end of the Lightship Chronicles series! in the Fall of 2017 Titan Books will be publishing "Infinite Stars: Definitive Space Opera", an anthology edited by my friend Bryan Thomas Schmidt. Infinite Stars will include stories by Orson Scott Card, Alistair Reynolds, David Weber, Jack Campbell, Elizabeth Moon and many others. It will also include an original Lightship Chronicles story by me, "Last Day of Training". Very much looking forward to that!
And finally, though it's not announced yet, Baen Books will be doing an anthology called "BOOMERS" in which I will have a story called "ICEBREAKER". Can't tell you more than that except that the story is about submarine warfare in the Oceans of Europa. Look for an announcement soon!
2017 looks to be fun. Can't wait!
